Collection: Kitesurfing Lessons

With proper training, kitesurfing is safe. Key risks occur during kite launches/landings. Always learn from certified instructors and use a helmet, impact vest, and safety leash.

WindCircus will provide you all the safety equipment needed. These include:

• Helmet
• Impact vest
• Hook knife (for line emergencies)

A UV-protective rash guard is advisable but not provided. You can purchase one at our local shop or online.

While this varies per person and most importantly the conditions that you will learn the principle is that most beginners need 8-12 hours of lessons to:

• Control the kite confidently
• Body-drag upwind
• Perform water starts and ride upwind

Nafpaktos has one of the best conditions in Europe to learn kitesurfing due to:

• Shallow waters
• Steady winds
• Flat water (limit chop and waves)

That's why our students become independent kitesurfing riders within 8-10 hours. After that we offer supervision which is enough in most cases.

Group (2-3 students): Cheaper, fun for social learners and less tiring as you switch turns between your peers. You can also learn by watching others.
Private: It's much faster to progress as you get tailored feedback. If you want to become independent as fast as possible then we recommend private lessons.

Moderate core strength and stamina suffice. Sessions typically last 2 hours.

No – kitesurfing requires unique skills. Snowboarders/wakeboarders often progress faster with board control but the combination of board control and kite control is very unique to master.
